Offered for sale is a beautiful art pottery ewer or pitcher by Rookwood. This ewer features beautiful autumn leaves and branches on a background shading from dark to light brown. This ewer measures 6.5 inches in height and approximately 2.75 inches in diameter at its widest point. This ewer is in great condition with a fine and uniform overall crazing. The handle of the pitcher does have a tight hairline that extends through the handle. T is no impact mark, and it has not been repaired (namely a piece was not broken off the handle and reglued). It is possible that this hairline occurred during normal crazing. T are no other cracks or chips, etc. This vase is signed with the Rookwood mark on the base. I believe that it dates from 1900 (14 flame marks). This vase is also signed by Jeannette Swing, who was born in Cincinnati and worked at Rookwood from 1900 to 1904.
