Rookwood Floral Vellum Vase, 6 1/4" high. Painted by Fred Rothenbusch in 1927. Base is impressed with the Rookwood logo, the date ( XXVII ), the shape ( 402 ), and the artist's initials ( back- to- back FR ). The vase is in excellent condition with no repairs. No crazing. T is a small area approx. 1/8" by 1/4" on the top rim which appears to be a manufacturer blemish w some of the 'blue' did not entirely take. Perhaps a glaze pop. ( See photo ). The vase has soft white flowers and green colored leaves encircling it. Most of the flowers ( 4 ) are open. T are a couple of buds also. Towards the top of the vase the background color is an off-white and blending into a light blue towards the bottom. Very nice soft colors. This is a gorgeous collectors piece. Buyer pays for postage and insurance.
