ROOKWOOD ARTIST SIGNED IRIS GLAZE VASE ca. 1902!
EXCEPTIONAL AMERICAN ART POTTERY! EXCELLENT CONDITION! This auction is for a very beautiful Rookwood vase. Decorated with white daisies with yellow centers and delicately long green stems. Background shades from grey-green to a gorgeous dark sky blue. It is signed by Fred Rothenbusch, one of the top designers that painted for Rookwood! It measures 6 3/4" high and is in exceptional condition. T are no chips, cracks, or repairs. T is not the allover crazing often found on these old pieces, but it does have a few craze lines when inspected closely. The masterful detailed work he put into the flowers really make them look three dimensional. It is marked with the R, 15 flame marks and II for the year 1902. It is impressed with the shape number 80B under the flame mark. It is signed with the Reverse F connected to R by Fred Rothenbusch. It is a very light mark and was very hard to photo.
