This fantastic Huge Rookwood Vase signed by Louise Abel is in mint condition, without crazing, It has a three tone color, mauve and white on the outside and a blue interior. Other than the repair on the bottom, shown at picture #5, this almost 100 year old vase is beautiful. You might need this one so you have a pair and everyone knows how much more valuable the item is when you have a pair! hows that cj? For those of you wondering why we are selling our things so cheap s the story-My wife bought all these things and now we need to move. The important thing is need for health reasons. On top of that need my youngest brother, who lives on the other side of the US has cancer in the final stages, which is devastating to all of us. In order to afford the trips back and forth we decided to sell her pottery collection. We sent 7 highly collectable signed pieces to a famous gallery who i will call "tree way" , after going thru all the garbage of "send us pictures" and the like, they finally provided us with estimates. Once they got their hands on the pieces they listed them for half of the estimates given, didnt advertise they were signed pieces, and sold them in "box lots" and still charged us 22%! So we told them we would give away the rest of my wifes collection on our own. We were given my grandsons camera and are the final results. Thats the story, you get some great pieces for less then what we paid and the auction house gets nothing, because theyre a bunch of thieves. I get to visit my youngest brother a few more times before he passes and with any luck, move to a dryer climate. After 30yrs of "collecting" we have quite a bit to get rid of. Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy the sales and the collectables and stay away from that tree way ( which is probably how they split their profits after they rip you off ).We would like to thank all of you who have purchased our items and helped us to pay for all the expenses we incurred during our last visit to the east coast to see my brother.. Without you we would not be able to see my brother again and I want you to know that your patronage is extremely appreciated. Please email me with any questions. thank you for looking. We are selling off the rest of our personal items as we are still trying to move to a senior complex and are having family emergencies. So please check our other things and keep in mind we pack very well and do not make any money on shipping or handling as all additional costs go toward packing supplies, which so far are not free. Plus we mail almost everything PRIORITY MAIL, INSURED, SIGNED/RETURN RECEIPT. All sales are final as we go thru extreme measures to describe everything to you in great detail.
