You are bidding on a beautiful Rookwood vase featuring a small school of fish (4 of them) rushing by on the side of this art pottery. This vase measures 7" high, 2" across at the mouth of the vase and approximately 3 3/8" at the widest part (shoulder) with a base of 2 5/8 inches wide. It is marked with the R-P mark of 14 flame points designating the new century of 1900 and the Roman numeral IX to designate the year 1909. The number 1353E designates the shape of the vase. It is also marked with an impressed V which indicates the use of a transparent matte glaze or Vellum finish. The signature markings are clearly marked E.N. Indicating the artist Edith Noonan. The colors are a very light gray base with a beautiful turquoise background the fish are swimming through. T are two tiny firing cracks at the top of the vase which are indicated in the photo's I have provided. T is also avery tiny chip (1 mm) by the firing crack. Also note the crazing in the glaze. Please take a close look at the pictures, because that's the way this vase is going to look when it arrives. This is a beautiful vase from my own personal collection. I purchased this vase in 1994 and because of circumstances beyond my control, I am forced to sell it. This is a chance to own an artist signed Rookwood vase with a rare scene of fish painted on the side. I package my shipments very carefully. Please see shipping, payment and return details for more information. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Thanks for looking and goodluck!
