This is a truly gorgeous original Rose Medallion teapot, 5" in diameter and 5 3/4" high. The teapot is in excellent condition, with no chips or scratches; it has a fitted lid and a double wrapped handle. The colors are muted and beautiful, the painting delicate, detailed and beautifully done. Most panels exhibit little or no wear; t is some wear in the panel nearest the handle, unsurprising in a piece of this age. T is no marking on the bottom, indicating that the teapot is of the original, oldest variety, circa later 19th-century (in particular, not a copy made in Japan or Hong Kong). Those who love the colors and detail of original Rose Medallion will appreciate this lovely teapot.
