A simply gorgeous, antique French Fadap teddy bear with rare deep rose-coloured mohair c.1930s. She has original nose, mouth and claw-stitching, and is 46 cms (18") tall, and fully-jointed. One of her clear glass eyes is a replacement, and three of her felt pads have been neatly recovered in the past. Stuffed mostly with kapok, there's woodwool in her paws and feet, so it's possible her stuffing has been topped up at some time. Her tilt growler no longer works, but she's kept virtually all of her fabulous fur and is a stunning old bear with a typical French expression. This lovely character is wearing her old cotton lace-trimmed dress with beautiful antique French picture brooch and old silk Souvenir of France neckerchief, as shown in the photos.
