Rosebud 20" Horsman Composition Doll 1930

Sold Date: 04/18/2010

Beautiful Rosebud Doll , 20" tall, composition, made by the E. I. Horsman Doll Company in 1930 . This particular doll was bought at Rosie's Too , part of the Rosalie Whyle Doll Museum in Bellevue, WA. She has been in my collection for awhile, but I am collecting less composition dolls now, so she is ready to be adopted by another who will enjoy her like I have.
Rosebud is a toddler mama-type doll , in wonderful condition. Composition head, shoulder plate, full arms and legs, cloth body with mama-crier in the back. Her bright tin eyes open and close and she has excellent hair lashes. Her wig is made of a fine material, with good curl and full. She is dressed in a sweet 1930's style dress and romper/slip combo. Her outfit is typical of style little girls wore in that era She has knit socks and oil cloth snap shoes on her feet.
She is marked Rosebud on the back of the neck. Composition is in great shape , she has some minor craze lines on her face. Her lip paint is worn. Her body is in great shape, and is displayable as is. New owner might want to clean her at some point in the future as she does have some soil around her hands, probably from being played with years ago. It's not that noticeable if left alone. The mama-crier no longer works.
A sweet composition doll to add to your collection! Thanks for looking, email if questions, will combine shipping. Shipping includes insurance. For other dolls and items, visit my other ID's: funclutter and mydollplace. Thank you.
