1923 Rosenthal Rabbit Figurine
Artist K. Himmelstoss This adorable figurine, which was designed in 1923, was manufactured by Rosenthal between 1934 and 1956. The Maker's mark is stamped underneath appropriately. Inscribed into the base on one edge is the designer of the piece, K. Himmelstoss. On the other edge is K 674/1. This little guy is done in shades of charcoal on white with a patch of mottled charcoal on his hindquarter. His ears have a perfect "natural" position. Having raised rabbits, I look at him expecting a twitch or a hop! He measures 5 7/8" wide and 6" tall at the tallest point of his big ears! This piece is perfect! No chips, flea bites, crazing or repairs. The only "clue" one might have that it is not directly from today's gift shop, is the ring of accumulated dust around the underneath of the piece. I cleaned this away, but there is still a faint "ring." There is absolutely no flaw in this piece. This was an incredible Estate piece! It is MINT and you will not be disappointed! Will be packaged EXTREMELY WELL!! Actual Shipping charges only. Will combine shipping where feasible. Will ship to International bidders, but this is at your cost and can be very expensive. My minimum bid does include insurance cost. I am confident in my packing ability, just not so confident in the shippers handling ability! I am downsizing my own private collection of "stuff!"
