This stunning Rosenthal demi tasse set was designed by Bjorn Wiinblad, first issued in 1968. It was according to Rosenthal the most difficult and challenging porcelain made by them, very fine with a wonderful relief on the edge depicting scenes from the Mozart opera "The Magic Flute" or "Zauberflöte". The pattern Sarastro because of expense is the most sought after and rarest in the line up of Rosenthal china. The underside of the saucer has the libretto written in gold on it as well as Wiinblad's signature. The cup and saucer are NEW, still the original inspection tag in place, and of course they are factory firsts (no second !). NO damage, pristine as on the day it was made! Should you be interested in more of these little jewels please let me know. The cup is 1 3/4" or 4.4cm high, the saucer is 4 3/4" or 12cm in diameter.
