After more than 50 years of collecting Hummels and other collectibles, Mom has decided it's time to downsize. So I will be posting many wonderful items for quite some time. This is an authentic Rosenthal rabbit figure from Bavaria, Germany. It features a white rabbit balanced and standing on a shiny golden ball or globe which rests on a white base with a gold rim around the bottom. The rabbit is pure white. From the base to the tip of the rabbit's ear, it measures about 4". The underside of the base has the Rosenthal crown mark as well as the place of manufacuture, Selb in Bavaria, Germany, with #812. The markings are not as crisp as the other Rosenthal figure I have posted (the cat). This rabbit is in excellent condition, with the exception of the less that crisp markings on the bottom. It has finely crafted details. T are no chips, crazing, or other imperfections on the figurine itself. Any marks on the gold ball in the photos are reflections from lighting. The Rosenthal factory has been manufacturing procelain products since 1879. They carry on the tradition of employing the services of contemporary designers and maintain their famous art department (Kunstabteilling). Selb is the home of Bavaria's "Porcelian Route." I have one other Rosenthal piece -- it is the white cat sitting on a similar golden ball. I will be happy to combine shipping if you are interested in both. I value my 100% positive feedback and would appreciate it if you communicate with me beforehand if you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase. Issues can always be worked out if we discuss them. Also, if you have any questions, please ask them before you bid. Serious bidders only; sorry but I've been burned by unpaying bidders and would rather not go through that. Shipping is by USPS Priority Mail. I have to require insurance for this as I cannot be held responsible for damage that occurs during shipping. I 1ill do international shipping but only using Priority Mail with insurance. I'm charging a $1 handling fee to defray the cost of bubble wrap and other materials. Everything comes from a smoke-free home.
