This is a beautiful, hard to find, Roseville 1939 Fuschia Wall Pocket in the color brown. I have always seen the Blue Fuschia Wall Pockets in the books or at Antique Malls. This is the first Bown one that I have seen. I bought it at auction, and the auctioneer took it out of a showcase and sold it as Rare, Mint, Mint, Perfect Condition. It doesn't have any cracks, chips, or damage. But if you look at picture 2 it has a very light water line. If you look at picture 5, it does have age crazing. On the back it has what looks like pencil marks. So I would say that the walll pocket is in Excellent condition, not Mint like the auctioneer said. It has Roseville 1282-8" on the back of the Wall Pocket. It is hard to find Roseville Fuschia Wall Pockets, since the Fuschia line was only made for one year and a lot of Wall Pockets got broken over the years. This is one Beautiful Pattern and Beautiful Coloring. The Wall Pocket measures approx. 8 1/2" tall and approx. 6 1/8" across from handle to handle. What a Rare Gorgeous Roseville Brown Wall Pocket. If you like Roseville you will love to have this one in your collection. Or give as a gift to a very, very special person. In the Warmans 2004 Roseville Pottery book, page 100 ,the blue Fuschia Wall Pocket is listed as $600 - $700. The Warmans 2004 is the most recent price that I have. I have seen read more
