This is the Roseville Brown Bridge Utility pitcher and is not a very difficult Roseville utility pitcher to find, but what is unusual about this Bridge Pitcher is the condition. Roseville utility pitchers were meant to be used and were not very carefully made especially for collectors like myself. I am a Roseville pitcher collector with about 150 utility pitchers. What a variety of Roseville utility pitchers: Bridge, Mill, Teddy Bear, Landscape, Tulip, Iris, Wild Rose, Holland, Grape, and Cornelian. I love the pitchers but I just have to downsize my collection. This Brown Bridge Roseville Pitcher was the first pitcher I collected over 20 years ago. This is a special pitcher to me and I have another one in my collection I will not sell. T are three kinds of Bridge Pitchers: Brown Bridge, Green Bridge, and Blended Bridge. Took me 15 years or more to find the Blended Bridge. The Brown Bridge Pitcher offered is 6 inches in height and 7 inches in diameter measuring from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle. The color of this Brown Bridge is excellent and the sharpness of the mold is wonderful as contrasted with most bridge pitchers. In the Pitcher on both sides you can clearly see the bridge, made of stone, and water running under the bridge. The water has a blue color and can clearly be seen. T are several trees, about 4, surrounding the pitcher with brown tree trunks and green leaves. The trunk of the tree is branched like you might expect. The spout is perfect which is unusual for utility pitchers that have been used alot. If you look really close, really close, you can see the slightest rub at the end of the spout, not noticeable or it would not be in my collection. I cannot tell you how many Bridge Pitchers I have passed by to find one that is good as this one. The handle is also perfect as well as the bottom of the pitcher. You have to look really close to see the crazings on the outside of the pitcher in the cream colored background. If you look down into the inside of this pitcher, t are about 5 chips but they cannot be seen without looking down into the pitcher. I bought this pitcher for color, sharpness of the mold, and condition of the pitcher's outside. This would be an excellent pitcher to display in your home., Thank you for looking at my last bridge pitcher for sale.
