ROSEVILLE DONATELLO COMPOTE For Sale is a nice piece of Roseville Donatello (c.1915). Footed Compote or Planter. Please view each picture carefully, I make every attempt to describe all damage. This compote is 7 inches tall and 7 inches wide. For its age it appears in very good condition on the outside. It does not have any chips or cracks that I can see although it does have some crazing that shows up on the base and the underside of the pedestal, although this is common for Donatello I understand. There is a small glaze pop on one of the areas where the putti are. This piece is not marked. There are no cracks or chips on the rim or base. The inside of the compote as you can see from the pictures, does have alot of crazing and some stains, also a spot where the glaze did not cover. There are several scratches inside. The bottom of the compote has crazing and 2 firing marks, although there are no chips. This is a nice example of Roseville Donatello.
