Offered for auction sale is a very uniquely styled and molded Vase, one of the Futura patterns , popularly known as the Telescope Vase , made in Zanesville Ohio by Roseville Pottery in 1928, during its highly desirable Middle Period. It is Roseville # 382-7". This futuristically shaped two handled vase has a crisp mold with blended colors of greens, tans, grays, and oranges beneath a soft satiny glaze. Its outstanding features include its Art Deco Modernistic Geometric and Angular shapes. The shape and coloring of this vase allows this piece to fit with an Art Deco , or Arts & Crafts , or even Mid-Century Modern styled decor. This vase stands 7 1/4" high, and is 4 3/4" across at its widest part. It sits on a 2 5/8" diameter base, and has a 1 1/2" top rim diameter. This piece was just recently damaged from a shelf fall (the cat did it) and sustained some chips. These are shown in the many photos below. On one handle, t is a 1/8" by 3/16" top corner chip. On the same side, t is a 5/8" by 1/4" bottom rim chip. Along the edge of its bulbous midsection, t are 4 very tiny glaze nicks. Other than these, t are no cracks, hairlines, crazing, or repairs.
