For your consideration is a green and mauve Foxglove Vase 161-6" by Roseville. It is 3 1/4" at the top opening, 5 3/4" across the handles, and 6 1/4" tall. If you are looking for beautiful striking color and crisp mold lines, read on. This vase is without chips cracks, or hairline fractures. T is crazing present as is expected of a Roseville of this age. T are 2 fleabite glaze pops that occurred during the firing process. They are too small to photograph. I can feel more than see them. One is on the interior about 1/2" from the lip of the opening. The other is above the foxglove on the side with the single foxglove. The company began producing this line in 1942 and continued until business declined between 1948 and 1954. Sales had decreased steadily from the end of WWII. Unable to overcome the competition of the less expensive china and pottery from Japan and China, Roseville sold their facilities to the Mosaic Tile Company in November of 1954. I am offering a low opening price in hopes of finding a home for this lovely vase.
