ROSEVILLE, LARGE 10" TOURMALINE 6-SIDED VASE, #616-10

This very large Roseville vase - note how it dwarfs a pop can - is from the tourmaline line and is among the most desired pieces of that line, as its book value of $275 reflects. Besides its size, it is also distinguished by its 6-sided hexagon shape and the series of concentric circles decorating the narrow sides, as well as the combination of the raspberry and turquoise blue glaze. The vase measures nearly 10.5" tall, with a maximum width of 6". It is 4" wide at the base and a little under 3" deep. The vase then slowly and evenly flares out to the 6" width by 4" depth at its mouth. The interior carries the turquoise glaze about 1/2 way down, slowly thinning to the ivory clay color finish of the balance of the interior. The condition of this item is outstanding. T are NO chips, NO cracks, No repairs, and even NO crazing! T are also no glaze pops or skips, and the interior is very clean, with no stains or water lines. I suspect it was never used as a vase. The underside is also perfect and still has both its original wax crayon shape number listing and foil label. I've shown pictures of all views, including the interior and the base. Starting at less than HALF of book value, with the opening bid being my only reserve. INSURANCE IS MANDATORY, BUT THE FIRST $100 IS INCLUDED IN THE SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGE.
