This is a genuine 100% authentic Roseville Pinecone Brown Jardinière & Pedestal combo. This early 1930's vintage set is dark brown in color with hints of blue and green glazes. I have seen many Pedestal sets and this one is quite unique with its glaze overlays. Like other combo sets the Jardinière can be removed from the pedestal, and measures approximately 11" diameter, and 8" in height. It is also stamped on the bottom " Roseville USA 632-8". It is further marked with an 8 in black and a 15 in the clay. The Pedestal measures 10" diameter and 17" height. It has a flat top and a hollow bottom. You can see the potter's marks as they turned this on the potter's wheel. It is truly an amazing piece of art. Now for the one and only chip that I have been able to find. Please see pictures at the end. It is a small chip and a hair line. It does not take away from the beauty of this piece in any way. I tried to take pics the best i could to show the chip. T are other minor blemishes from water and plant use because the people who owned this piece actually used it for cut flowers and potted ferns. I have taken many pictures and request that you ask any questions before bidding. This item is being sold as is with no returns. Dont worry you won't want to return it, the chip really is minor. The newest 11 th edition 2006 Roseville Pottery collectors price guide by Gloria Mollring (pg 219) lists this set at $1,950.00- $2,400.00 Because of the one chip I have set the reserve on this piece far below the $1,950. end of the price spectrum.
