UNUSED CONDITIONLiving in Zanesville I have the opportunity to find many great pieces of pottery from the once thriving potteries in this city such as Weller, Brush, Roseville, Peters and Reed and countless others. Some come from auctions, estate sales, and private individuals. I am a retired school teacher and enjoy hunting for great pieces and meeting other pottery enthusiasts. This is a hobby, not something that is a source of income. I have found through the years grading pottery is very subjective and each person must be their own judge. What is objectionable to one person might not be to someone else. For example heavy visible crazing, especially on Roseville pottery drives me crazy...others don't seen to mind. One must remember that these pots are very old and their was not much of a quality control program at the time of their making. Their are many manufacturing flaws that do exist, but does not detract from their beauty or usually not their value. I strive to describe each item the best I can. Like you I am human and make mistakes or miss something. If you see something in a picture I have not mentioned that you have a concern about email me. If you have a piece arrive that does not meet my description or have a flaw you find objectionable we will fix the problem immediately, including a full refund. I hope you like the read more
