Roseville RARE Blue Pinecone 709-10" Vase - GORGEOUS
Roseville RARE Blue Pinecone 709-10" Vase - GORGEOUS
Sold For:
Ladies and Gentlemen. For your viewing and purchasing pleasure allow me to introduce this vintage, Monumental Blue Pinecone Vase. This vase is from the Roseville Pinecone pattern of art pottery circa 1931. This 10 INCH vase is free from chips, cracks and repairs except for a base flake underneath on the base rim. This flake is on the unfinished clay part and does not extend into the blue finish area, see images. Guaranteed to be vintage Roseville from 1931, NOT reproduction. How this example has survived for so many years and still in this condition is amazing. These blue vases are very scarce and rare and this is one LARGE example. As the images show this vase has some of the deepest, darkest blue colors you will ever see on a piece of Blue Pinecone. As all Roseville collectors know Pinecone is one of the most desirable and sought after patterns of Roseville, especially in the Blue Color. This vase is clearly marked on the base "Roseville 709-10". This is a great example of this pattern and a real find for those who collect only the best Roseville pieces. Please view all images and feel free to ask any questions? Be sure to check out my other auctions, baby needs new shoes! Payment required within 7 days of auction end. Shipping to lower 48 is $24.00 priority mail USPS which includes insurance and double boxed for safety. Local pick up available at no charge if desired. A word about Roseville pottery. Roseville was production pottery. That being said many people list Roseville as mint or perfect. I have seen very few, if any, examples of Roseville that I would call mint or perfect. T has only been one Thing perfect on this earth and He died for you and me nearly 2000 years ago. Glaze pops, glaze misses, stray clay and color runs are not unusual on all patterns of Roseville. In my opinion these characteristics only add individuality, charm and personality to these pieces of American History.
