You are bidding on a gorgeous piece of art pottery. This piece is unmarked but my guess is that it is from the Roseville Rozane line. It is possibly from the Weller Louwelsa line as they both made very similar items in the early 1900's.
This particular piece is a jardiniere/bowl. It has a ruffled upper rim. T is a gorgeous floral pattern on both sides which is something you don't always see on these pieces. They were often decorated on one side only. The pattern appears to be rose petals. T is a green set on one side and a brown set on the other. The base color of this piece is brown. T are fantastic transitions from light to dark brown and even an orangish tint in some areas which is very typical of both of the lines mentioned earlier. This piece stands 4 1/4 inches tall. It has a diameter of 4 1/2 inchesand the base is 2 1/4 inches wide. This piece is in excellent condition. T are no cracks or repairs. T is very little crazing most of which is not visible on the outside. T are 2 very small nicks/flakes to the underside of the ruffled rim. They are very obscure but are noted for complete accuracy. I have included photos to show but they are in spots that made a good photo very difficult. I assure you that they are tiny and not distracting. THis piece does have an impressed 4 on the base. The glaze and coloring on this piece is fantastic. It truly sticks out from the rest!!! Please view our feedback and bid with confidence. We now have over 300 positives from our art pottery alone. This one is sure to please. Item will be shipped double boxed and insurance is purchased free of charge!!!
