Offered for sale is this VINTAGE Roseville Freesia pattern tangerine jardiniere #669-8 and pedestal. This beautiful two handled jardiniere was produced around 1945. The pattern consists of clusters of freesia flowers with long leaves on a tangerine colored background; the bottom of the bowl fades into a darker color. T are three flowers on one side and two on the other. The amazing yellow and white flowers, as well as the leaves are in relief. T is a "ripple" texture running throughout the pattern...a very tactile piece. This is probably an early mold, as the relief is very clear and crisp. The pedestal has one flower on one side and two on the other; the tangerine background also fades into a darker color. The jardiniere measures an incredible 11.5" in diameter at the widest point and is 8" tall. It is marked appropriately on the bottom (see pictures). The pedestal measures 6 3/4" in diameter on the top and gradually flares to 11 1/4" on the bottom; it is approximately 16 1/2" tall; it is marked USA on the top. T is a spot on the top of the pedestal that has a kind of a chip (looks like the jar hit hard t and t is some wear on the top w the two pieces of pottery have rubbed together. This is a well used piece that shows nicely. I have tried my best to capture the few chips in the bowl, one on the handle, one on the rim and two on the very bottom. T is a facture on the very bottom of the jardiniere that is pictured; however, the jar rings true. In spite of what is mentioned, this is a must have piece and a true value at the starting price. These are large pieces that will be shipped in two separate boxes (each piece double boxed). I will absorb some of the shipping and insurace costs by charging a flat fee of $45.00 that includes both boxes. NOTE: the shipping cost may seem high, but I trust me, it will take every bit of it to ship the two pieces with insurance and delivered as safely as possible. Please email with any questions. Thanks
