You are bidding on a lot of , unpolished blue green Mexican amber from Simojovel, Chiapas. Mexican amber is from the Miocene and Oligocene epochs and is 22-26 million years old. Mexican amber, like Dominican amber, formed from the hymenaea protera tree. All of my amber comes from the source. is your chance to get a nice piece of this otherwise hard to get amber!
This lot weighs 561 grams and the pieces measures between 5/8 in X 1/2 in and 2 1/2 in x 1 1/2. You will find green and even blue in this lot. This could be cut, carved, polished or kept as a museum specimen. The lot has a nice clarity.
