ROY RAY - Peninsula Fragment A super large linocut by the listed St Ives artist Roy Ray The work is one of 7 original linocuts from the Porthmeor Printmakers Portfolio issued in 1992 Edition of 50 this one numbered 12 and signed in pencil. Measures overall 65 cms by 53cms Printed with TN Lawrences ink on waterleaf Zerkall paper Great condition overall, some light handling creases to the top right corner (minor) Suitable for combined p&p with other loose prints, £1 UK, 3 overseas each additional sheet. Roy Ray was born in 1936 and moved to Cornwall in 1974. Heavily involved in the painting scene in West Cornwall and St Ives in particular, he was Principal of the St Ives School of Painting between 1977 and 2000, a founder member of Porthmeor Printmakers and remains a member of both the Newlyn and the Penwith Societies of Artists.
