Well, this has got to be one of the prettiest Royal Albert sets I have seen! I thought Old Country Roses was gorgeous but I think this beats that! The pattern on this set is entitled OLD ENGLISH TROSE. Now I did some research on this pattern & I do not believe it is still being produced and the name is OLD ENGLISH TROSE as t is a T in front of Rose. When researching, of the ones I found people just call it OLD ENGLISH ROSE. This pattern consists of gorgeous wine & pink colored roses with beautiful shaded green leaves which almost cover the entire pieces! The set is covered very, very heavily with gold. The handle of this cup is a little different being that the entire handle is not covered with gold but just the outside of the handle. This set is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing & the gold is all intact. T is a very, very "minute" spot you can notice on the handle w the gold may show a bit of wear but this is hardly noticeable. I am 100% positive this has never been used. The cup measures 2-3/4" in height & 3-3/4" in diameter across the opening. The saucer measures 5-1/2" in diameter. On the bottom of both pieces it is stamped with the roses and "OLD ENGLISH TROSE, ROYAL ALBERT CROWN CHINA, ENGLAND". The cup also has the number "1669" on it.
