You are bidding on a stunning Royal "O" series portable typewriter in its original case. This beautiful typewriter is from my wife's great aunts collection of antiques and has been very well cared for over the past several decades. There are very few cosmetic blemishes, I would say none but that is hard to believe, for a machine that is almost 80 years old. The finish still retains all of its original luster. The glass keys are all present and in excellent shape too (check the pictures). The keys show no signs of wear and the metal around the keys shines brightly. This machine looks like it was bought new yesterday. This is a very clean machine as you can tell in the pictures. Typing action is reasonably good and all keys are functioning, the one picture is of what I typed. The ribbon is drying out a little, but replacements are available on E-bay. The serial number 0-379065 dates this typewriter to 1933. The case has very little wear on it but the leather handle is missing but the all the parts are present except the leather. This typewriter is the perfect example of the "O" series and is more than worthy of being added to a collection. You don't see them like this very often so don't miss your chance. We will pack carefully to make sure it arrives at your home in perfect condition and I will pay the shipping insurance. I would like to see this piece added to a collection.
