Royal Artillery Silver Compact Birmingham 1940 A stunning, solid silver, compact. It has the Royal Artillery insignia on the front with the red and blue Royal Artillery ribbon. Front and back have an engine-turned finish. The compact is in excellent condition apart from a very superficial diagonal ding which starts above the badge and travels across diagonally on the left hand side. The mirror has no damage and the clasp and hinge are in perfect condition. The compact closes tightly. The Birmingham assay mark is for 1940 and the compact was made by the silversmith Adie Brothers Ltd. The compact is approx 3" in diameter. The compact weighs a heavy 75.2g.
