THE ROYAL COATS OF ARMS OF THE KINGS AND QUEENS OF ENGLAND: A Limited Issue of 22K Gold Postage Stamps.
Authorized by Robin de Lalanne Mirrlees, Laird of Bernera Islands, Scotland. Issued 1981. Coats of arms of 44 chief Kings and Queens from Arthur of Camelot to Queen Elizabeth II. Represented on 22K Gold foil stamps w/ £8 (Sterling) postage value. In red leatherette binder measuring approx. 10 x 11.5 x 2 in. In Very Good Plus condition. All stamps perfect and still encased in their individual sealed plastic sleeves with the exception of the Queen Elizabeth II stamp which has been removed from seal and replaced. There is a faint resultant crease to the edge. Some stray marks to the pages, mostly, I think, as a result of the rather awkward binding and pressure from the stamp enclosures. There are some light soil marks and a small ding along the top edge of the inside title page. (Visible in picture #4). Binding is tight but does not allow for fully opening pages. This is a design fault. However, three large screws in the rear allow for releasing the binding and removing the individual sheets. No Reserve.
