Royal Copenhagen #1251 Amager Girl Standing, c.1967
Description: A vintage and really beautiful figurine from Royal Copenhagen, their #1251 or Amager Girl Standing, c.1967. Created by Lotte Benter in 1917. A young girl dressed in Amager traditional clothing standing and looking down as she adjusts one side of her shawl. Nice attention to detail, from her facial features to the shawl wrapped around her shoulders. Heavy weight and beautifully made. See photos... Dimensions: 8" tall; 4 1/4" wide; about 4" deep Markings: stamped in green on the bottom, "Royal Copenhagen" in a circle with a crown in the middle, "Denmark" underneath; the "H" in Copenhagen is underscored, indicating a 1967 creation date. handpainted in blue on the bottom, the 3 RC 'lines' with an "UH" (artists mark) handpainted in green, "1251" impressed into the bottom, the creators signature and date, "Lotte Benter" "1917" impressed into the bottom, "1251" and what looks like "EB" or "BB"? See photos... Additional Info: For those of you who don't know, 'Amager' is a Danish island in the Øresund, the strait separating the Danish Island Zealand from the south Swedish province Scania. In the early 1900's, Lotte Benter did a series of figurines for Royal Copenhagen depicting the people of Amager in their traditional dress. Condition: Excellent. No breaks, chips, crazing, discoloration or paint loss. T's some expected wear around the base w she's been sitting all these years - you have to turn her upside down to see it. Payment Terms: I accept and prefer payment be made through Paypal, although I also accept money orders and personal checks (item will be shipped after check clears, usually about 10 days after receipt). International buyers must Payment must be received within 5 days of auction close. If not, eBay will be contacted about non-payment, negative feedback will be left and item will be relisted. Please, if you have a problem making the payment on time, let me know as soon as possible so we can work it out. Shipping Terms: I'll ship this item anyw to anyone. International bidders welcome. Please use the shipping calculator included in all my listings to determine the cost of shipping High bidder pays winning bid plus shipping (see below) and insurance. I don't insist on insurance for all items (some I do), but even though your item will be packed very well, I strongly suggest it - I can't be held responsible for damage or loss in the mail. Domestic Shipping: I normally ship via USPS Priority Mail (approx. 2-3 day transit time); although I sometimes give an option for USPS Parcel Post (approx. 3 day) for heavier items. I require Delivery Confirmation on every domestic item I send out. This lets both seller & buyer track their item in transit, and gives the Post Office a way to find it should it get lost. Insurance: $201.00 and up insured items require a signature (they will not be just left at your door) $50.00-$200.00 insured items will be left at your door. If you'd prefer to sign for your item, please let me know before paying for your item - Signature Confirmation will have to be added. International Shipping (including Canada): USPS First Class Mail International: For items 4 lbs and under. This doesn't give an option for insurance, so if you want to insure your item, it must be sent via USPS Priority Mail International (which is usually more expensive, plus the added cost of insurance). Approx. transit time of 6-10 business days. USPS Priority Mail International: For items over 4 pounds, and for any insured items. The fee includes a small amount of insurance based on the weight of the package; additional insurance is available. Approx. transit time of 6-10 business days. ***An additional shipping charge of $2.00 is added to all internationally shipped items, to cover the cost of additional packing expenses. Multiple Item Shipping: I'm happy to combine shipping charges on multiple wins, within reason. However, the buyer must bring it to my attention ahead of time if one item ...
