This is a very rare plate from the Royal Copenhagen company in Denmark. Dated 1962 this is part of their long standing Christmas plates that come out annually. This plate features The Little Mermaid in Wintertime. This artwork is by Kaj Lange. Plate is in Excellent condition with no scratches, marks, dings or chips. Nice Glaze tiniest speck on the far left which I didn't even see until my last measuring of this plate. I've been told this plate is especially hard to find because a ship that was carrying a large number of the plates was lost a sea. I do not know if that's true but just part of the story telling of this item. Does not have it's box. Has a gold sticker on the back that reads AB Schou - NY Ø stergade 1. I believe that's where it had been bought, which is a very reputable company for selling items like this. I am quite confident it is an original and not a fake. Comes from a smoke/pet free home. Ships safely within 1 business day of payment received. Extra insurance will be bought if this item sells over the normal $50 covered in priority mail packages.
