You are bidding on what I believe to be a Royal Copenhagen figurine of a ballerina. I have been told that this piece is done in the faience style, and bears the mark of the Aluminia Factory which merged with the original Royal Copenhagen Company (Royal Porcelain Manufactory) in the late 1800's. I do not, however, know any of this as fact. I have included many photos with this listing, so you can be the judge. The figurine measures approximately 8 1/4" in height, 2 3/4" across the widest point of the base, and her tutu is approximately 4 1/2" across. She is made of a ceramic-type of material as opposed to the fine porcelain used in more modern examples of Royal Copenhagen figurines. Her tutu has defined ruffles on the underside. She shows crazing, and the bottom (in addition to the marks shown in the photo) bears a incised mark that appears to be 460/8 B. T are no chips, cracks, or repairs that I have been able to discern. As previously stated, I am not an expert on this type of item. Tfore, please email me with any questions you may have or for additional photos and I will be happy to reply.
