Here is a lovely Royal Copenhagen Tile Wall Plaque that features an abstract round design from the Baca design line. The plaque is 6" square and 3/16" thick. This great piece of art pottery was designed by Nils Thorsson. Marked on the back: Royal Copenhagen, Denmark Fajance. Signed with three green "waves" on the bottom, and Fajance. The green line is placed just below the letter - G - in the Copenhagen of the company name on products made in the years 1969-1974. The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufacture was founded in 1775. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or stains, was only displayed. Will ship quickly USPS. Love to combine shipping. Thanks.History: Nils Johan Thorvald Thorsson (1898 - 1975) Ceramic artist and designer for Royal Copenhagen. Nils joined Royal Copenhagen as an apprentice in 1912, and graduated from the royal Danish Academy in 1917. He went on to become Royal Copenhagen's most prolific designer. He was Artistic director at Royal Copenhagen from 1949 while also artistic director of Alumina also from 1928-1969. He designed at least 4 of their best known production ranges - Solberg (1930's), Marselis (Alumina 1950's) Tenera (1960's) and Baca (1964 -1975).
