This little owl has dark blue, red and light blue colors with 22k gold trim and is lying down on his side with his head turned and slightly raised. On the base there is the red Royal Crown Derby stamp as well as a gold embossed circular stopper for the bottom (originally they were filled with sand). He measures approximately 5" long, 3" wide and 2 1/2" tall. In excellent condition and would like great on a desk or shelf. This paperweight was one of the first six originally introduced in September 1981 and retired in 1992. Many are done in the Japanese Imari style.
