This Royal Danish 1940's 62 Piece Set Includes: 6 - 8 Piece Place Settings, 6 Extra Teaspoons Plus 8 Serving Pieces. A truly spectacular set purchased new in 1943 and used very lightly, in fact, hardly ever used at all! The set comes in a newer solid wood silver chest lined with tarnish-resistant felt fabric. T are 12 knife slots in the lid, 9 spacers in the top compartment and 7 spacers in the bottom pull-out drawer. The set includes: 6 Forks - measures 7 1/8" 6 Knives - measures 8 3/4" 12 Teaspoons - measures 6" 6 Salad Forks - measures 6 3/8" 6 Butter Knives - measures 5 15/16" 6 Soup Spoons - measures 6 1/2" 6 Ice Tea Spoons - measures 7 5/16" 6 Cocktail Forks - measures 5 and 1/2"1 Large Serving Fork - measures 8 3/4" 1 Larger Serving Fork - 9" 1 Large Serving Spoon - 9 and 3/16" 2 Large Vegetable Serving Spoons - 8 5/16" 1 Sauce Ladle - measures 5 3/8" 1 Small Tongs - measures 4 3/16" 1 Sugar Spoon - measures 5 15/16" All the pieces in this set were purchased together. T are no monograms. T is very little wear, scratching, absolutely no denting or bending of any kind. I do not have the means to weigh the set, but the 1940's International Sterling is the heavyweight. The knife handles are hollow, and the knife blades are marked as stainless steel, but all other pieces are solid sterling. All the pieces are very much like new. read more
