This exquisite Royal Doulton service for 12 is from the 1940's and was never launched in the United States. From the best of my knowledge this pattern was only released in the United Kingdom. The dishes were given to me in 1965 by the original owner, my next door neighbor, who was from Somerset, England. I have never used these dishes. They are in absolutely superb condition. T are no chips, cracks, glaze imperfections, discoloration, or any other defects. They have never, ever been in a dishwasher. The pieces are back stamped "Royal Doulton Carnival V1313".
