ROYAL DOULTON EASTER DAY -- HN2039 PRIME FIND FOR SUPREME EASTER BASKET! Surprise someone special this Easter morning! This exquisite Doulton "Doll" will make an unquestionably splendid centerpiece in any collector's Easter basket. Rare Doulton figurine, designed by master Leslie Harradine, was issued between 1945 and 1951. Retired in 1969, this particular item was purchased by my grandfather in the late 1950s in New York City. It was lovingly displayed in a sealed curio cabinet and touched only by a lint-free dust cloth for over 45 years. Easter Day stands approximately 7 1/4" tall, and approximately 5 1/2" wide. She was painstakingly handpainted and the hues of her full skirt are simply amazing! Such deep, rich color saturation! Bottom fully marked with Doulton backstamp plus handwritten initials, "M" and "T.P.". Mold number "14"? also embossed. Tiniest felt pads along base--easily removed with warm water, but probably an asset depending upon location of display. This figurine is in pristine, triple mint condition. No chips, cracks, crazing, fading, discoloration or repairs. Rest assured that she will be shipped to you with the utmost care.
