This limited edition Royal Doulton large character jug is of King Edward VII. Edward VII ascended to the throne after the death of his mother, Queen Victoria, in 1901. That same year, he granted his Royal Warrant and allowed the name "Royal Doulton" to be used. This jug was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the granting of the Royal Warrant to Doulton & Co. This is number 102 in limited edition of 1000 issued in the year 2000. It measures approximately 7 1/2 inches high and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
