Exquisite Royal Doulton"The Captain" in full regalia, holding a telescope and compass with map The detail and coloring are the best! I purchased this piece at a wonderful estate sale for a great price, hence I have started the opening price at a ridiculously low amount with no reserve so that I can pass that savings on to you. The backstamp depicts the lion on the crown with 4 intersecting "D" s and reads "The Captain" H.N. 2260 COPR 1964 Doulton and Co Limited, Made in England RD NO 917064, RD NO 46393, RD NO 9979, RD NO 573/64, wiith initials K.E. also showing a number 11 embedded in the porcelain.
