Royal Doulton FIREMAN Small Character Jug D.6839, 1989, Ltd Ed. #3369 of 5000 This small size Royal Doulton character jug, ‘The Fireman, D.6839’ was commissioned by Lawleys By Post and issued in 1989 in a limited edition of 5,000 pieces. This is number 3369. He stands approximately 4.25 inches or 10.8cm high. Weight 210gm. The Doulton backstamp is set within the design of a coiled hose. He would originally have come accompanied by a certificate, but this is no longer present. The jug is part of the "Journey Through Britain" series, and jug was modelled by Stanley James Taylor. He is in excellent condition, with no rubbing or scratching to the decoration, and no nibbles, chips, cracks or restoration.
