VERY LOW OPENING BID WITH NO RESERVE! I just purchased a very interesting collection of scarce & unusual Historical Staffordshire collector plates. See my other auctions running NOW & pick yourself up a bargain...or two...or more & save on combined shipping too! For your consideration is a Vintage Matching ROYAL DOULTON George & Martha WASHINGTON PLATES! Plates measures about 10" in diameter & are marked on the back (under the glaze) with the "Royal Doulton, England" mark etc...see picture. Plate features a beautiful, rich dark cobalt blue transfer on a snowy white background! Fabulous!I have examined both plates carefully. I see no chips, cracks or repairs. George's plate has a couple of in-the-making glaze pops on the front with some cobalt spots...one on his forehead...see picture. They both have a bit of crazing to the clear top glaze...George more than Martha. T are NONE of the typical knife marks on either...in fact both plates are CLEAN AS A WHISTLE! The transfers are fine...any white "spots" are just reflections from my camera! This Historic pair of plates are VERY charming & VERY desirable & would make great addition to any decor & collection!
