This collection consisted of various scenes depicting moments in the Robin Hood story and were produced by Royal Doulton from 1914 to 1940. This particular piece, an oval sugar bowl, is the scene entitled "Life In Sherwood Forest". The sugar bowl has two handles and no lid. The background color of this piece is an off white cream color and the accenting color is a dark forest green. Robin Hood is sitting on the ground next to a tree watching his men practice their archery skills. The bottom of the piece is marked with the Under The Greenwood Tree signature stamp depicting a tree with the wording UNDER THE GREENWOOD TREE ROYAL DOULTON. The bottom is also marked with D3751 indicating that this was an earlier piece. This is a pre-owned item with no chips or cracks, however, there is crazing. The colors are strong. A great
