This is a very rare medal and manuscript collection being sold in one lot, once belonging to a RIC & RUC officer who also was seconded as a Captain in the Royal Irish Rifles during the Easter Rising in Dublin in 1916, as second-in-command to the infamous Captain John Colthurst Bowen-Colthurst and he was an eyewitness to the surrender of James Connolly and the handover of the G.P.O.
