Up for bid is a Royal Manual Typewriter Portable. I believe it is from the late 1930s or early 1940s. If you know exact year, please let me know.S/N is P255353.Included with typewriter is case with lock and key which does work, brush which is "hooked" inside lid, and manual for its use and care.Typewriter has white glass keys. The U key is yellowed. The bottom right-hand key which is the other shift key says Fort Pitt Typewriter Co Atlantic 8320 644 Liberty Ave Pittsburgh PAEverything seems to work: Carriage, carriage release, bell, shift lock, paper release, roller, right and left margin stops, margin release and line spacer.Keys that stick are the 8, 1/4, @, V, B, ? and 3/4. Sometimes the ribbon will stay "up."Machine needs good cleaning. I did not want to attempt this as I might do more harm than good since I would not know what I was doing.Machine has a light musty odor to it. I believe it is from the lid of the case. This too can be remedied, but I did not want to attempt it for the same reason.I think I have covered everything, but if not, please ask questions. If you need additional photos please let me know.
