PRE-Queen Elizabeth WW2 era Visor cap for the RNZAF Warrant Officer The Warrant Officer cap is same pattern as Commissioned Officer's cap but has the BLACK LEATHER visor This cap has been stuffed in a box with lots of other items and needs some type spent re-shaping it (Only a minor problem that time and care will correct) This type of RARE cap was worn ONLY by the rank of Warrant Officer and t was only ONE (1) WO per SQUADRON The Warrant Officer is the HIGHEST ranked NCO and wears a SPECIAL rank badge and has a slightly DIFFERENT uniform regulation that recognises the uniqueness of that position When I was an Air Force Cadet I was "trained" that the WO was a man NO-ONE of ANY RANK should EVER even DREAM of "messing with" as they (somehow) could make your life miserable (Supernatural powers were almost implied :-) I can probably supply a RNZAF cap badge for this, if required ? for small additional cost ..........But the badges ARE becoming HARD to find
