BEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS AGAIN is this porcelain piece which bears no marks and we would think fit into the 1880 - 1900 time frame. This lovely piece is a fair size having a diameter acorss from exterior of handle to exterior of the other of 8 3 / 4" and reaching a height at the gilded scalloped rim of 3 1 / 2 " and when the lid is in place from base to top of finial on lid is 4 1 / 2 ". Enamel decorations, gilt beading, gilt outlining it has it all. WE will let the photographs speak for this outstanding piece. Condition ??? T has been a repair to the lid. We had it done and we normally would only do it at the request of a purchaser but in this case the damage was so clean we had a professional restorer perform the task. The lid had been split in half a good clean break. We have tried to pointing out the one side for your viewing but it is good repair. Other than that the piece seem fine. Please note the wonderful molding at the flared side of the bowl. Being sold with the repair and proud to have done the repair on such a high quality piece. Please enlarge the photographs to appreciate the outstanding details. Please review our other listings, 400 + , which we will offer in the next 4-8 weeks. Combined with these items will be selection of what one expect to find in a multi generation home which is being closed. Combining shipping reduces overall costs.
