Royal Vienna Handpainted Demitasse, Artist Signed, 19th Century Finely painted Royal Vienna demitasse, signed J. Rosler. Extremely fine painting of a mother and her daughter, possibly a portrait. On the bottom of the cup is the name of the subject: Lady Rushout u Tochter(Lady Rushout and Daughter). Beehive mark. Mid 19th century. Pedestal cabinet cup. Rich maroon background with very fiine detailed, raised gold decoration. Quality painting . Cup has gold interior with white bottom. Excellent condition. Absolutely no wear to the gold. No wear, rubs or fading to paint either. Two tiny pinpoint white marks on saucer, noted for accuracy only. No chips, cracks, hairlines or crazing in porcelain. T is some roughness on the bottom saucer rim commensurate with age. Size: Cup 2 10/8 " (just over 2 1/2") high.2 " diameter at top of cup; Saucer:3 3/4". The quality of the painting is extraordinarily fine as is found in first rate Royal Vienna porcelain. Hair, facial features, dress details ,leaves painted with minute details like that seen in the best miniature portraits.
