Very substantial and impressive Salad Bowl from Royal Winton (Grimwades) in the pattern simply named CHINTZ.
Pattern number 2836 was introduced during the 1930s and is one of the few Royal Winton Patterns to feature hand painted elements to compliment the chintz transfer design.
In this instance, and with stunning effect, Blue Foliate background is adorned with Green leaves and multi-coloured Peonies and other flora. As seen in the photographs there are also Butterflies alighting on th flowers and thes make up part of the hand painted element.
CONDITION - Can only be described as Breathtaking for a piece of this age and I have no reports to make of damage of any kind other than some underside roughness on the corners wher the bowl sits. The colours and patternation are tremendous and the item is finished with a very strong and rich Gilded trim.
Beautiful piece of Staffordshire Chintz from it's leading producer.
MAXIMUM Air Mail Shipping of $25.00-30.00 dependant on destination. Tracking and insurance for LOSS ONLY is available for a further $8.00.
