This is a Royal Winton Grimwades chintz covered butter dish in the Crocus pattern. The background is off-white. The tray has a 3/4 inch border,
which has gilding both on the inside and the outside of the border. The gilding is about 98% intact. On the lid, the finial is molded with the lid,
not a separate piece. It's about 3/4 inch.

The butter dish is in great condition. T is typical age crazing which is visible on the underside and on the center part of the tray, which is
off-white. The tray measures about 6 5/8 inches x 4 5/8 inches. The lid measures 4 3/4 inches x 3 1/8 inches x 1 3/4 inches high. The finial
measures about 1/2 inch above the lid.

The backstamp is black, and reads Royal Winton in script, with the name GRIMWADES in smaller font, all caps, right below it. Directly below that,
in smaller caps it says MADE IN ENGLAND . Centered directly below that is an uppercase A .

The package will be sent by USPS Priority Mail to the continental U.S.
