RoyalWorcester Duke of Wellington on Horse by Bernard Winskill Duke of Wellington on his horse Copenhagen, sculpted by Bernard Winskill produced in fine bone china by Royal Worcester, of Worcester, England who are famous for producing horse sculptures by Doris Lindner etc. This impressive piece is 17 inches in height and part of the series of famous Military Commanders. A long sold out limited edition of 750 pieces, this is number 479. He comes complete with lovely wooden base with brass name plate, and Royal Worcester certificate. He carries the Royal Worcester back stamp under his base. The has been a professional restoration to one feather on the Duke of Wellingtons hat. No other breaks, cracks and is in lovely condition. All his tack is there and correct. The wooden base has wear to the inside foam which is normal on Royal Worcester pieces of this age. A wonderful rare piece to add to your collection.
