Royal Worcester Dorothy Doughty birds, Cactus Wren Cock and Cactus Wren Hen. The work on these pieces is incredible. Each spine of the cacti is delicately crafted of porcelain. The birds are lifelike. Dorothy Doughty sculpted many of her pieces from live bird models. The colors are wonderfully realistic. Both pieces are in very good condition. This is an unusual opportunity to get both of these wonderful pieces together as a pair. Dorothy Doughty birds can be found in museums and libraries. Some of her porcelain birds have been presented by the US government as gifts of State to other countries. THESE BIRDS DO NOT COME WITH THE ORIGINAL BOXES. THE BASES ARE INCLUDED. THEY SHOW FADING DUE TO AGE AND LIGHT. If you would like more photos, contact the seller PREBID. I will include with these items a certification as to their condition and hallmark. The items are marked for identification. The approximate net weight of these items (shipping and packing materials not included) is 11 lbs. 8 ounces. The pieces set in their wooden bases measure approximately 13 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches high by 6 inches deep AND 9 1/2 inches wide by 10 1/2 inches high and 8 1/2 inches deep. I accept only money order (US funds), cashier's check or wire transfer. No PayPal. I describe my items as completely as humanly possible. Please see my Feedback rating. If buyer wishes them shipped, buyer will be responsible for arranging and paying for shipping and insurance. I can provide you with UPS and FEDEX addresses in the Phoenix area. I can also provide you with a shipping service who have 25 years of experience and ship these types of fragile items with the "foam in place" method, domestic or international. Providing these names does not imply that I warrant their services. After payment is received and confirmed, Buyer's shipper may call to arrange pickup. I will not be responsible for shipping, insurance, or delivery of the items. BECAUSE OF THE FRAGILE NATURE OF THESE ITEMS T WILL BE NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS ON ITEMS SHIPPED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
